Cellphone photo: Man accused of shooting woman, then stealing car is ‘the most violent man in America’
A man accused of fatally shooting a woman and stealing her car has been ordered held on $25,000 bond.
Bryan Anderson, 21, faces the death penalty after police said he shot 28-year-old Sharlene Carranza Monday at the intersection of U.S. 290 and South Platte Avenue in Mesa, Arizona.
Anderson was charged with two counts of aggravated murder.
He’s being held on a $25 million bond and is scheduled to be arraigned Friday in Mesa.
Anderson is accused of killing Carranzas 4-year old son, 6-year age daughter and 1-year, 3-year female child.
Police said Carranzo was in her car on the eastbound Interstate 5 when Anderson shot her in the back, then drove off.
He is accused in the death of Carranzi’s 2-year pregnant wife, Maria Diaz.
Anderson’s arrest comes as Arizona continues to grapple with the deadly spike in shootings, including at least eight fatal shootings in the past three weeks alone.
Police have recovered the remains of two children shot dead on Wednesday.
